Week Two

It is hard to believe that Kaelynn is two weeks old today. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. She is doing really well though. Initially we were a little worried because she wasn't doing too good with the breastfeeding and she lost a lot of weight in the first few days after birth. We went to the doctor last Tuesday though and she had gone from 6 pounds 8 ounces the Thursday before to 7 pounds 7 ounces. That is almost a pound in 5 days! Once my milk came in she started feeding really well. Maybe a little too good as far as I am concerned. She wants to eat about every two hours - sometimes more. It makes it a little hard for me to get any rest! She normally sleeps a good part of the day, but she has started to stay awake longer periods. Unfortunately those periods often occur during the night! I can't wait till we can get her on a little bit of a schedule! She is a really good baby though. She really doesn't cry too much unless she is hungry. Here are a couple pictures.
