Pregnancy News

Things can change quickly during pregnancy. I wrote this morning that thought I would be back at the doctor next Tuesday because I didn't think the baby was coming soon. That could still be the case, but there is a chance she might be coming a lot sooner then I thought. When I got home from work today I noticed my ankles were very swollen - way more then they have been before. I even tried to take a picture of them because I have never seen them look like that! I called the doctor to see if I should be concerned and after talking to them for a bit they said I am showing a lot of signs of toxemia. I have had significant weight gain in the last week or so, swelling, headaches this week, heartburn/ chest pain, and I can't remember what else. My blood pressure has been good the entire pregnancy until yesterday they noticed it being a little higher. I actually took it at work today because I decided I wanted to keep an eye on it and it was even higher then yesterday. So they had me go to the hospital to get some lab work done. They should have the results back tomorrow. They said if I do have toxemia they will probably induce me since I am so close to my due date. Either way, they told me that I am off work from here on out unless something changes. They said to stay home and try to rest. I have been so anxious for Baby Roethle to arrive, but now that I know it could be close, I am getting nervous. I will try to post something tomorrow after I hear from my doctor.
