Birthday Party

Today was Kaelynn's 1st birthday party. I think it was a success. She got a lot of really cool stuff. I am excited to get to play with some different toys! I will post some pictures soon. I haven't had time to go through them. I really should be sleeping. Sean and I about killed ourselves this week working around the house to get ready for the party. It was the first time a lot of our friends and family saw the house so we really wanted it to look nice. We bought picture frames and ordered prints of a lot of our pictures and hung them on the wall. I will have to post some pictures. It is wonderful to have a clean house though that is really starting to look like a home. We didn't get everything done. We still can't park in the garage but we will soon. When winter is here we will be in the garage!!

I bought Kaelynn a fancy birthday hat but she wasn't too impressed. When her Nonna tried to put it on she pulled the strap and it snapped back and got her good. She wanted nothing to do with it after that. I will have to try to put it on her again and see if I can get a good picture! I was really curious of what Kaelynn would think of her cake. First she was upset about the hat and didn't want to be in her high chair. Since we were outside we decided to just let her sit at her new picnic table that she got for her birthday. She enjoyed that. She loved her candle (which we decided not to light) and she played with the icing a little. I let her lick some icing off my finger and she really seemed to like that. She eventually started to feed herself some of the icing. She never did eat any cake but she made enough of a mess that she had to go straight to the bathtub!

Earlier this week I went ahead and took Kaelynn to get her 12 month pictures. I wanted to get pictures of her in her birthday dress before it got messed up. I think we got some good ones. Here are a few:
