Sorry I have been such a bad blogger! I have been really busy lately and I can’t seem to find time to blog. I have lots to write about. To start with the main reason I have been so busy was that we had Kaelynn baptized last weekend. We spent a lot of time working around the house to prepare for company. The baptism was really nice and Kaelynn was very well behaved. She did “talk” a lot during the ceremony which was cute. Sean's sister, Amanda is her godmother and my brother Kevin is her godfather. We had all the family to the house afterwards which was somewhere between 40 to 50 people. It was a full house! It was fun to have everybody together though. My brother Alan and his family flew in from Texas the Thursday before and stayed through the weekend. It was so much fun to get to see and hold Becket and let the kids play together. They really didn’t seem to interested in each other though. We tried to take them on Friday to get pictures together which was quite the adventure. We had the hardest time getting them to both smile at the same time – actually we never really succeeded. The people that worked there kept trying to make funny noises but I think they just got overwhelmed with all the people. One would start crying and then the other one would cry. We got a few cute pictures which I will try to post. We also got a few of them individually which turned out pretty good. We were there for about 2 hours and we were all exhausted by the time we left.
In other news about Kaelynn, started solid foods. We tried giving her rice cereal the first time on Feb 15th, the day she turned five months. She wasn't very interested in it although she was intrigued by the spoon. A week later I tried again and this time she did much better. She actually ate the entire bowl. For the last week I have tried to give her cereal once a day and some days she eats it and other days she isn't interested. Overall she doesn't seem to crazy about solids but I will keep trying. Today I decided to see if she liked fruit any better then cereal. I have her some apples and she made the funniest face. She didn't like them at all. I guess I will try that again soon too.
Finally one of the more exciting things Kaelynn has done lately is that she finally learned how to roll from her stomach to her back. She has been rolling the other way for about 2 months and she would get stuck on her stomach and cry. I am so relived that she learned how to roll the other way because now she plays a lot better on the floor. She is mobile now though so we have to watch her. We put her on a blanket and in no time she has rolled off of it. She gets across the room pretty quickly. So I guess it is time to start baby proofing. That should be fun.
