Two Month Checkup

We took Kaelynn to the doctor today for her two month checkup. Everything thing went really well. At least till it was time for Kaelynn to get her shots. Let's just say she didn't like that too much! Kaelynn weighs 11 pounds, 8 ounces, which puts her in the 74th percentile for her age. She is 23.5 inches long which is 90th percentile. She must get her height from her father!

She is a good baby, but she does have her fussy times. One thing we have discovered is that if she is crying and we turn on the vacuum she stops instantly. So our floors are now cleaner then they have ever been before. The vacuum doesn't get put away because we are using it at least once a day! It is actually kind of nice.

I read recently that I should be putting Kaelynn down for naps or bedtime when she is still awake. Well, we had never done that. I decided to start trying and it hasn't quite worked yet. She does need to learn to put herself to sleep though so I will keep working on that. It will make things easier on Sean and I because we spend a lot of time walking her (she doesn't want you to sit) when it is time for her to go to sleep. I can't complain though because she really is a good baby.

Another time she gets fussy is when we are around lots of people. I have decided that she doesn't really like being passed around and held all the time. At home she spends a lot of time laying on the floor or in her bouncy chair. I think she likes being able to lay and stretch and kick. I thought all babies liked to be held (at least when they are small), but she definitely likes her play time.

This weekend we are taking her to Louisville for her first trip to Grandmas. She has done well in the car so far so lets hope she handles the trip OK. I am going to get to go to my first football game of the season which is the last home game. Louisville hasn't been very good this year so I haven't missed too much.

I hope you had a good weekend! I liked the pics...I can't wait to hold Kaelynn again even if she doesn't like it much ;)
