Today I am officially 37 weeks! This is a big milestone because officially the baby is now considered full term. She is completely developed at this point and isn't considered premature. So as far as I am concerned, she is welcome to make her arrival any time now! All she will do for the next few weeks is get bigger! I would rather her do that outside the womb rather then inside. Of course, odds are I have another 3 to 4 weeks of pregnancy to go - but I will still hope she is early!!
I am going to the doctor weekly at this point, but they haven't done an internal exam yet so I don’t know if I have dilated or anything. I read though that some women will dilate and then the baby won't come for weeks. Other women will get checked and not be dilated at all and will go into labor that night. So it isn't necessarily going to tell me how close I am to going into labor.
For the most part I have been feeling pretty good, but I get more and more uncomfortable. I think the baby has dropped some because I feel this enormous pressure on my bladder at times. It has me running to the bathroom every 15 to 30 minutes sometimes. The did find that I had a little bit of a bladder infection so I am on an antibiotic for that. I think the biggest problem though is the bowling ball on my bladder! I have also developed this strange rash on my feet. It started a week ago and at first it didn't bother me too much, but now it itches like crazy. My doctor didn't seem concerned when I saw her this week. Today hasn't been too bad, but I was miserable all day yesterday. The bad thing is that I am afraid I am starting to get it on my hands as well. They seem to be itching a lot and I noticed small bumps between my fingers. I really hope I don't have to deal with this the rest of the pregnancy. The bad thing is that it is worse at night and early morning which can make sleep even more difficult then it already is!
I am excited about the upcoming holiday weekend. I plan to stay home and get lots of rest. I also have several projects around the house I want to work on. I find that I am pretty slow these days so it takes me a while to get anything done! Also on Sunday is the big Louisville - Kentucky football game. I can't believe it is in Louisville and I am missing it. In the 7 plus years I have lived in Illinois I have missed very few home games and NEVER a Kentucky game. It just isn't a good time for me to travel now. So I will be watching at home on ESPN. Go CARDS!!!!

That is a big milestone. With K, We had MIL come out two weeks early. I was SURE that I was going to be early. I was a week early with C! I was dialted, thinning and dropping.
Did she come early? Nooooooo. Although she was right on her due date. With both kids I went into labor the evening of my doctor appointments. With C though, my regular doc was on vacation. :(
Can't wait for the next update!!
Laura-I got the same rash I think when I was pregnant...except I only got it on my hands. I just kept lotion on it all times the nivea products worked great also vaseline worked.
Only a few weeks to go!!
