A couple of months ago we started talking about maybe moving and it turned into a crazy couple of months. We actually made offers on four houses! We finally succeeded in buying one this past week. The house is in North Normal which is the opposite side of town we are on now. I didn't think I wanted to live up there but I think there are a lot of pluses. There is a lot of restaurants and shopping at that end of town. The main thing that will be inconvenient will be the drive to work. We have talked to people that live up there and they all say it isn't too bad. We only have about 2 miles to drive now so anything will seem long compared to that! This house is a one and a half story which is what we really wanted. We have a ranch now and I really like having my bedroom on the first floor. It also has a lot of things that we don't have now like linen closets, a pantry, big kitchen, formal dining room and lots more. It is only a few years old so everything is practically new. One other great thing about it is the yard, It is on a cul-de-sak and the yard is kind of a pie shape with a small front yard and a really big back yard. There is also a school right next to our neighborhood so Kaelynn can walk to school. There is a park with a big playground right behind the school so that will be nice too. Here are some pictures:
Here we are in front of our house!

This shows how big the yard is. The big tree is actually on our lot! It is our only tree so we need to get some more planted!

Here is the back of the house.

It is hard to see, but there is a fence in front of the other house that is the border of our lot. So the backyard is huge! Those other trees are not on our lot but I am excited to have a few big trees around us!

This is taken from the foyer looking into the family room. One thing we didn't like is the placement of that window above the fire place. I guess there won't be a TV going there. We really wish they had put that window up a few feet higher. I think furniture placement in this room could be tricky.

Another thing that will be hard is figuring out what to do with the high walls. The family room is two stories tall so there is a ton of wall space that we need to do something with.

This is taken from the family room looking into the kitchen. It is quite a bit bigger then our current kitchen which I am super excited about. Also those doors on the left is a big pantry which will be awesome. One of the things we don't like about our current house is the amount of kitchen space!

Here is the master bath. There a second vanity around the corner by the shower. I have a bathtub now!

Here is the laundry room. It is a walk through from the garage but much bigger then we have now which will be nice. Plus it already has cabinets and a sink!

We don't close till the end of May. So now we get to start packing up our current house and getting it ready to sell! If anybody is looking for a three bedroom ranch, let me know!
