I mentioned driving to Arkansas. That was for Sean’s friend John’s wedding (yes, this is our third wedding in the last 2 months!). John grew up in the house next store to Sean so both families have always been close. John and Sean also lived together for a while here in Bloomington when John was in school. After John graduated from college he moved to Bentonville, Arkansas to work at Wal-Mart’s corporate headquarters. Shortly after moving down there he met Diana who also works at Wal-Mart. I think Bentonville is a little like Bloomington where almost everybody seems to work for State Farm! Most of Sean’s family went to the wedding so we had a big caravan down there. I think it took somewhere between 8 and 9 house to get there. Even though I was dreading the drive (who wants to spend their birthday in the car?), we had a good weekend. We really enjoyed spending time with John and Diana and their family and friends. The wedding was held in this small chapel in the woods up on a hill. It was surrounded by glass so you felt like you were outside, but yet you were in the air conditioning (which I did appreciate). It was one of the neatest places for a wedding that I have ever seen. Check out the pictures below.
Here I am showing off the baby belly. Everybody wants to take profile pics of me these days!
Last weekend we stayed home and it was wonderful! It was our first weekend at home in a really long time that we didn’t have lots of plans. We got a lot of work done, but we also had time to rest and relax and actually watch some movies (I think the first movies we had watched in months!). Our goal for the weekend was to get started on converting our guest room to the nursery. So on Friday, Sean had a friend help him move all the furniture to the basement. On Sat we bought the paint and started priming. We have been working on it a little every day. It has been a bigger project then we thought, but we should be done in the next day or two. We are painting the bottom half of the room green and the top half pink with a border in the middle. It is looking good although I am a little scared of the pink. I can't believe we are painting the wall pink! It is about the color of my room when I was little and had a strawberry shortcake themed room. I loved it at the time, but it got old as I got older. I never thought I would have pink walls again! It is exciting to see the room start to look like a baby’s room. Let’s just hope our furniture comes in soon so we can really make it look like a nursery. I will post pictures of the nursery when we are finished!
