Pregnancy Stuff

I get a lot of questions about how I am feeling and how the pregnancy is going. I am about 20 weeks along already. That means I have reached the halfway point! That is kind of crazy. It has gone pretty fast so far. Now we have to get serious about registering, getting the nursery ready and picking out names!!

Things are going pretty good. I haven't had any major problems, but I have to admit that it has been harder then I thought it would be. The fatigue has been really bad for me. It is getting better then it was in the first trimester, but I still go to bed around 8 almost every night. I am starting to have a lot more good days, so I can't complain too much. In Jan and Feb it was a major struggle to make it through the workday. Other then that, I have had some queasiness, but it hasn't been too bad. There are a few foods that have been banned from my diet: garlic (which seems to be in everything), syrup, and the newest thing to give me problems is chocolate milk. The chocolate milk is interesting because I eat cereal with milk every morning without a problem and I have had chocolate in many different forms without trouble. However, I got chocolate milk at work one day and my stomach didn't feel right for two days! So all in all I guess it has been a pretty good pregnancy. I just can't wait to get my energy completely back. I hear it gets bad again in the third trimester, so I am trying to be prepared for that.

The other question I get is whether of not we are going to find out the sex. Yes, we are planning to find out if the baby cooperates. Our next ultrasound is scheduled for May 6th so keep an eye on my blog for an update after that appointment! We did find out recently that my brother and his wife Shannon are going to have a boy. This will be my first nephew - at least the first one related by blood. I inherited a whole bunch and nieces and nephews when I married Sean! Shannon is due 8 days before me so we are really excited about that. Christmas this year should be really exciting with two new babies. Well, that's all for now.

You should do a quick vote for who thinks it is a girl and who thinks it is a boy. I think... boy. TODAY! However, when I see you wearing pink then I change my mind. haha

We are excited to be apart of this blessed event. Leslie went through a lot of the some things you are deal with too. Sleep was a major issue. The days before the birth are hectic, but life afterward will be even more hectic. Let us know when the shower is… Be Blessed!
